This summer Measure “O” projects are underway throughout the District:
- To support the expansion of our 1:1 technology initiative, over 1000 iPads are being prepared for when our students return in August.
- Five schools – Washington, Ladera Palma, Imperial, Las Lomas, and Las Positas – are included in the Phase I roofing projects.
- Preliminary prep work has been completed for two new courtyards that will be constructed at Imperial Middle School early this fall.
- We are also looking forward to the installation of new marquees at both Imperial and Washington Middle Schools.
Planning is also underway for designing state of the art Academy Centers at both Imperial and Washington Middle Schools as well as modernization plans for additional classrooms at both sites to support 21st Century teaching and learning. The actual construction of these Phase I projects will not be underway until Spring 2014.
We again thank the community of La Habra for their support in passing Measure “O” last November.
